Hundreds of years ago this West Yorkshire manor was a thriving farming estate. Today the house tells tales of the ambition, success, and failure of those who lived and worked here and the barn displays the 400 year-old markings of proud craftsmen. The gardens can be enjoyed at any time of the year, and seasonal highlights include the scented herb border in spring, cottage garden flowers in summer and trees laden with apples, pears and figs in autumn. The mud pie kitchen and den building corner in the discovery garden give opportunities for families to come together and enjoy outdoor natural play.

Local Organisations
Carelink
People can refer themselves to Carelink or can be referred by anyone who is involved with their care. When a person is referred, we will visit them at home to discuss their needs. We will introduce the person to one of our befrienders as soon as an appropriate volunteer is available.
The same Befriender will visit, usually for an hour or so each week, at a mutually agreeable time. The Befriending relationship can continue for as long as it suits the needs of the client and the availability of the volunteer. The Befriending relationship will continue to be monitored by the project coordinator.
